Sims definitely has patented its technology and such as recently as 2020 but from the looks of it, Paralives isn’t going against any of their patents. Avakin Families, Second Life, Virtual Families 2, etc. But they were each limited in their own right. We have had life simulation games before.
Not that I dont like the sims but it's time they got knocked down a few pegs to realize that someone else can pull it off to and maybe better then them. I'm saying its strange that the closest thing we've gotten to the sims is farming simulators like stardew valley,harvest moon, and animal crossing.ea has patents and they have them in simulation games one is on direct manipulation of a "sim" or model like a sim.I want paralives and I'm hoping I am misunderstanding the patents ea has. I'm not saying they do, NOR am I saying paralives will not be ok. Unless ea and maxis tried to protect themselves, and why wouldn't they they've been king for so long and could lose potential players if they didn't, it's just the thing they would do to protect sales its lasted 22 years.
that doesn't seem sus.like that maybe there are patents, patents that could prevent paralives from delivering, I thought of this more recently it doesn't add up.

But why is that, doesn't that seem weird that the sims has been king for so long BECAUSE it's the only simulator of its kind.
